Powwow in the Middle – the informal gathering for paraplanners who live or work in around Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas

What's it all about?

Get ready, because a brand spanking new Powwow in the Middle is on it’s way for January 2019! Ok, by the middle we mean we’re heading to Nottinghamshire.

What’s the brand new bit?

Well we’re pleased to announce Gareth Davies, Specialist Pensions Development Manager from Scottish Widows will be joining us for an exclusive session.

Gareth is an experienced pensions platform speaker, covering technical and legislative aspects of both corporate and individual pensions. Plus he has over 25 years’ experience in the life and pensions industry .

We’ll chat through:

• The changes in behaviour in flexible pensions access, post pensions freedoms and the current regulatory landscape.
• The advice “tripwires” that come into play when constructing and reviewing your DB advice proposition.
•  The possible future direction of regulatory travel in the context of ongoing scrutiny and change.
• Support available from product providers, software providers and the PFS.

What else is up for discussion?

New to the Powwow? A Powwow is an informal gathering for paraplanners to exchange views, learn things, fix things and share things. That means alongside Gareth’s session we’ll tackle a variety of paraplanning related topics. But not just any old topics, ones that are relevant to you. That’s because Powwow adopts ‘unconference’ principles, so you get to choose the topics you want to discuss with your fellow paraplanners.

If there’s something you’ve been wanting to pick the brains of other paraplanners on, then this is the perfect spot to do it.

We guarantee you’ll leave Powwow in the Middle with some great ideas, answers and tips, all brought to you by paraplanners.
