28 June 2018 A full day's Howwow on report writing? Yes, please!
What's it all about?
Well, here it is the second ever Report Writing Howwow. This time in Manchester (because that’s the location you voted for), a Howwow all about report writing (see what we did there). We’re using real-life report examples to work through three aspects – the words, the rules and the tech.
At the end of the day, you’ll walk away with the know-how and skills to write even better reports. Hurrah!
WHAT’S UP FOR DISCUSSION?
This isn’t a technical report writing course. This is BIGGER than that. We’re going to dive into the language, communication styles, regulation and technology underpinning the production of great reports.
With our experts, we’ll de- and then re-construct real life examples in three ways.
- The words: Quietroom – ever popular with the Powwow audience, and recent participants in our report writing online Howwow tackle the words.
- The rules: Rory Percival – bringing the regulatory perspective to the party (OK. It’s not like bringing a bottle to the party, but it’s not a bad substitute).
- The tech: We’ll be bringing together paraplanner best practice when it comes the technology that underpins your report writing.
We want you to walk away with all your report writing questions answered and ideas shared. Don’t just take our word for it, here’s what other paraplanners had to say about 2017’s report writing Howwow.
This Howwow is a not-for-profit event that is unwaveringly independent of the influence of professional bodies and commercial organisations.
Q&A: When, where and how much?
WHEN WILL THE REPORT WRITING HOWWOW TAKE PLACE?
We’ll start at 9am on 28 June 2018 and proceedings will draw to an end at 5pm.
AH. ALRIGHT. WHERE?
At Revolución de Cuba in Manchester, on 28 June. Why Manchester? Because it was the location with the most votes in the recent survey.
WHAT TIME WILL THE HOWWOW FINISH?
It’ll finish at about 5pm.
CAN I BOOK MY PLACE AND, IF SO, HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
You can book your place by clicking the big ‘BOOK NOW’ button on this page.
We’re giving you the option of two ticket prices – £30 or £50 for a ticket. You get the same no matter what price you pay. Powwow’s are supported by supporters but sometimes we want to spend a little more in order to deliver the best event we can. That’s where ticket sales come in. We don’t mind (and we won’t judge) what ticket price you go for, but if you should plump to pay £50, then it will give us just a little more cash to play with for this and future events.
IS THE HOWWOW OPEN TO ANYONE?
Powwows have been created by paraplanners for paraplanners. If you’re not a paraplanner – or a guest invited by a Powwow organiser – then the Powwow’s not for you.
